We are thrilled to host the following giveaway courtesy of ModernMapArt.com to PhillyPhoodie.com readers. They have maps of so many cities around the world, but we all love one in particular. I love the simplicity of the maps see below for an example of the Philly one up for grabs. If you would like to enter to win, simply comment here, on our Instagram post promoting it, or our Facebook post promoting it (or on ALL 3 to buffer your chances!). Let us know your favorite neighborhood in Philly (or elsewhere) and why. Make sure to email us so we have a contact for you if you comment on the blog in case you win (we have had anonymous commenters win before with no way to let them know!).

When - the contest will run from the time of posting through Wednesday 3/22/17 at  12PM Noon ET. This applies to each social media outlet for start time, but all will close at the same time. 

How - leave a comment on this post letting us know your favorite neighborhood and why (eg- you met your wife to be at a party in Graduate Hospital when you were drunk before noon, the best taco joint in Fishtown that has BYO margaritas you used to live near, etc.)

Road Trip | Dinner Party Contest

Remember that time I got to borrow one of Chevrolet's new Camaro's (aka Bumblebee) back in 2011? And I spent a week taking amazing road trips to Trenton and Baltimore, eating my way through each city? Well, Chevy strikes again, and this time, they're keeping it local!

They're hosting a farm-to-table dinner party November 14 at Bartram's Garden, the 18th century home of botanist & explorer, John Bartram. If you haven't been out to this strange section of West Philly on the Schuylkill, just below University City, then this is the time to at least try - you'd never believe they were hiding such glorious history over there. One lucky reader will get to be my guest at this one-time event (chauffeured in a new Chevy diesel) by yours truly!

That being said, even though it's close, it's still a drive away - a 'road trip' if you will.

I love road trips because it means I get to try new and different (and sometimes weird) regional cuisines. Lord knows I love my food!

The category is pretty broad, and we encourage creativity. On October 15th, all valid entries (as determined by me) will be assigned a number, and a winner drawn at random through Random.org.
